2017
A scholarship was created in Dakota's memory after he passed away at 20 years old.
Why we play
Coop's Cup began with one scholarship and a simple idea: turn love, loss, and a lot of good people into something positive.

Meet Coop
Dakota “Coop” Cooper passed away on October 8, 2017, at just 20 years old. He was an avid hunter and wrestler who loved time with family and friends - and enjoyed a Hamm's or two. IYKYK.
With the support of family and friends, a scholarship was created in Dakota's name. That effort kept growing. The annual golf outing became another way to keep his name present, bring people together, and turn a difficult loss into opportunities for young people.
The golf matters. The competition is real. But the community is what keeps this day going. It gives people a reason to remember Dakota, talk honestly about mental health, and help graduates take their next step.
